DIN 11852 - EN 10374

The DIN 11852 - EN 10374 standard specifies the dimensions, tolerances, materials, surface characteristics and markings for the bends, reducers or welding gradients and tees. In this standard, these are the welding fittings that are prescribed in the food and chemical industries. A further subdivision is made within the three groups:

Bends:

90° Welding bend = BS-90
45° Welding bend = BS-45
180° Welding bend = BS-180
Large radius bend = BA5-90
90° Rolling bend = BL-90
45° Rolling bend = BL-45

Reducers concentric:

Concentric welding gradient = RK
Eccentric welding gradient = RE

Tees:

Equal Tee = TS
Short Tee = TK
Reduced Tee Long = RTS
Reduced Tee Short = RTK

Specifications

The pre-material of the fittings can be produced of unannealed tube (CC) but also of annealed tube (BC). According to the standard, the bends, reducers and tees may be produced according to the work material numbers: 1.4301 / 1.4307 304(L) and 1.4404 / 1.4432 316L. The allowable pressure and tolerances depend on the size and can be found in the standard for each product group. According to the standard, the fittings must satisfy at least an internal roughness of Ra ≤0.8 µm and an Ra ≤1.6 µm on the weld seam. The specified roughness values may increase by a factor of 2 in the deformation area.

Product range welding fittings Montakon

Within the montakon welding fittings range there are several versions available.

Fittings are available in CC and BC versions.
Fittings are available with an internal roughness Ra ≤0.8 μm and on the weld seam a Ra ≤1.6 μm and Ra ≤0.8 μm and on the weld seam a Ra ≤0.8 μm (depending on dimensions).
Fittings are available in active ingredient 1.4307 and 1.4404.
Fittings are available in clear, ground and polished versions.

MQ-Line

Montakon has selectively selected manufacturers produce these fittings under their own brand label, MQ-Line. Standard food fittings meet 0.8 μm and 1.6 μm on the weld seam. The MQ-Line bends and tees meet an Rₐ value of 0.8 μm in the inside of the fitting and also on the weld seam. The welds that run more than one size have Rₐ value 0.8 μm and 1.6 μm on the weld seam. The gradients that only expire one size have an Rₐ- of 0.8 μm in the inside of the fitting and on the weld seam. All fittings are available with a 3.1 certificate according to EN 10204.
