Liag ARC valves are a hygienic alternative to other full-port valves. The valve is designed to prevent product build-up in areas that cannot be cleaned. Due to the full bore, the valve has the same diameter as the pipe. The advantage is that there are no additional friction losses and the pipe is easy to clean by pigging. ARC valves are particularly suitable for viscous/pasty products and liquids containing solids. In contrast to other full-port valves, LIAG valves have been proven to be completely residue-free after clean-in-place (CIP).
The ARC valves and the DMV pigging system are a perfect combination. The ARC and valve work together to create a good seal, allowing the DMV pig to pass flawlessly.
The shutter is aligned with the open area of the valve to create a good seal. Full coverage of the seal is created by the rounded shutter, which has the ability to close any open gate. The shutter is held in place by a stainless steel arch. The arch pushes against the shutter to create an airtight seal. This arch also serves as a coupling that makes the shutter rotate. The shutter can rotate on the basis of a manual or pneumatic feed.

The ARC valves are designed according to hygienic guidelines to meet the high demands in the process industry. The valves have no dead spots and can be easily integrated in the CIP/SIP. The valve is designed with few spare parts that are accessible and replaceable while the valve is already mounted.
The ARC valve comes as standard in a 2-way or 3-way version. Optionally, a 4-way valve can be chosen, including a rotation system that makes the pig rotate 90 degrees. With this system, the pig can be sent to the correct receiving station or several lines can be cleaned. With this system, no additional sending and receiving station has to be installed, which saves time, system costs and maintenance.

With a full port design, this type of valve ensures minimal pressure loss. This means that line pressure can be reduced, allowing for smaller pumps and extra efficiency.
