LIAG piggable valves are a hygienic alternative to other full-port valves. Like the ARC valve, it is designed to prevent product build-up in areas that are difficult to clean. Due to its full-port design, the valve has the same flow as the pipe. The advantage is that there are no additional friction losses and the pipe is easy to clean by pigging. In contrast to other full-port valves, LIAG valves are proven to be completely residue-free after clean-in-place (CIP).
The piggable valves and the DMV pigging system are a perfect combination. The ARC and shutter work together to create a good seal, allowing the DMV pig to pass flawlessly.
The shutter is aligned with the open area of the valve to create a good seal. Full coverage of the seal is created by the rounded shutter, which has the ability to close any open gate. The shutter is held in place by a stainless steel arch. The arch pushes against the shutter to create an airtight seal. This arch also serves as a coupling that makes the shutter rotate. The shutter can rotate on the basis of a manual or pneumatic feed.

The piggable valves are designed according to hygienic guidelines to meet the high demands in the process industry. The valves have no dead spots and can be easily integrated in the CIP/SIP. The valve is designed with few spare parts that are accessible and replaceable while the valve is already assembled.
The piggable valve is available as a 3-way version. The ports are set at an angle of 120°. With this version, it is possible to easily piggyback all three ports. The valves are available with welding, threaded and Tri-clamp connection. A combination of the connections is also an option. The valves are available as manual version or with actuator (air opening / spring closing or air opening / air closing).

With a full port design, this type of valve ensures minimal pressure loss. This means that line pressure can be reduced, allowing for smaller pumps and extra efficiency.
