Automate the process system later on?
Use both pneumatic and manual ball valves in your system?
You know the situation: you start with a new system/installation and gradually you find out that part of your process could be better controlled automatically after all, or you expand your process, making adjustments necessary.
Hand-operated ball valves were chosen at the time of system installation, but now you want to (partially) automate your process and the ball valves need to be replaced with pneumatically-operated variants. A hefty cost and you get different types of ball valves in the same process.
The advantage of ball valves with raised iso top and Direct Mount top flange according to ISO 5211 is that the control can be easily adjusted. Both pneumatic and manual control is possible, using the same ball valves. The manual actuator is easily and safely replaced (afterwards) by a pneumatic actuator, you do not need a mounting bracket or drive adapter. This allows you to use the same ball valves throughout the project, adjusting the control as required.
